Join us for an exclusive event with writer and Pullitzer-winner, Junot Diaz on this Sunday afternoon. 

Junot Diaz won the Pullitzerprize in 2008 for his debut novel, ‘The brief Woundrous Life of Oscar Wao’ about an overweight, science-fiction-loving Dominican-American nerd growing up in New Jersey. The novel was officially named the best novel of the century – so far. 

As Junot Diaz is teaching creative writing at MIT and is a former chairman of the Pullitzer Prize Board, this event will be about writing and reading fiction in an age of autocrafts and smartphones. 

Being the only bookish kid in his family, it wasn’t obvious that Diaz would become a writer. So how did he find his voice? How does he teach creative writing now? And what does the political situation do to the literary scene in the US – to him as a writer? 

Junot Diaz will be interviewed by writer and journalist, Laura Engstrøm.
